Basic Industrial Electricity

Power up your future with hands-on training in industrial electrical systems.

Penta Career Center’s Basic Industrial Electricity Program prepares students for entry-level careers in industrial and manufacturing environments. Through a combination of classroom instruction and hands-on training, students gain the foundational knowledge and technical skills needed to work with electrical systems safely and effectively.

This program emphasizes real-world applications, safety standards, and troubleshooting skills to prepare students for success in the industrial electrical field.

Tuesday & Thursday | 5:00–8:00 p.m.

 Program Highlights

• Electrical safety and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures
• Electrical fundamentals, including voltage, current, resistance, and power
• Use of electrical tools and test equipment
• Wiring and troubleshooting of electrical circuits
• AC theory, three-phase power, and power factor
• Electrical installation, including conduit bending and raceways
• Motor control circuits and transformer applications
• Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and motor speed control
• Introduction to Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)
• Industrial process controls and automation basics

Career Preparation & Licensure

Upon successful completion of the Basic Industrial Electricity Program, students are eligible to earn an industry-recognized safety credential.

Students will earn:

• NFPA 70E – Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace

This certification demonstrates knowledge of electrical safety practices and is highly valued in industrial and manufacturing settings.

Enrollment Requirements
To enroll, students must:

• Complete online registration and submit the $100 non-refundable registration fee (applied toward tuition)
• Be 18 years of age or older
• Provide an unexpired Driver’s License or State ID
• Submit proof of high school completion (High School Diploma, official transcript, or HSE/GED transcript)

• Complete all required enrollment documents in the student portal
• Pay tuition in full before classes start

Important Note: This program is not eligible for financial aid. All funding must be secured by the student before enrolling.
