Penta Career Center’s Intro to HVAC Program provides hands-on technical training and foundational knowledge for students looking to enter the HVAC field. Through a combination of classroom instruction and practical application, students gain the essential skills needed for entry-level employment in residential and commercial HVAC settings.

This program emphasizes safety, tool usage, and core HVAC concepts, preparing students for industry-recognized certifications and career opportunities.

 Program Highlights

  • Workplace safety training, including OSHA 10-Hour Certification
  • Hands-on experience with HVAC tools and equipment
  • Introduction to heating, cooling, and refrigeration systems
  • Basic sheet metal fabrication and venting techniques
  • HVAC math and print reading fundamentals

Career Preparation & Licensure

Upon successful completion of the Intro to HVAC Program, students are eligible to earn industry-recognized credentials that prepare them for entry-level positions in the HVAC field.

Students will earn:

  • EPA 608 Universal Certification – Environmental Protection Agency (Refrigerant Handling)
  • OSHA 10-Hour Certification – Occupational Safety and Health Administration
  • NATE Ready-to-Work Certificate – Entry-Level HVAC Certification

These credentials demonstrate knowledge of HVAC systems, workplace safety, and industry standards valued by employers.

Enrollment Requirements
To enroll, students must:

  • Complete online registration and submit the $100 non-refundable registration fee (applied toward tuition)
  • Be 18 years of age or older
  • Provide an unexpired Driver’s License or State ID
  • Submit proof of high school completion (High School Diploma, official transcript, or HSE/GED transcript)
    • Documents may be emailed to adulted@pentacc.org or mailed to:

  • Complete all required enrollment documents in the student portal
  • Pay tuition in full before classes start

Important Note: This program is not eligible for financial aid. All funding must be secured by the student before enrolling.

  • Students must adhere to all safety, dress code, and attendance policies
  • Students must participate in hands-on training activities
  • Students must complete all required hours and coursework
  • Students must demonstrate professionalism and safe work practices at all times
