Penta Career Center’s Construction Technologies Program provides students with the foundational skills and real-world experience needed for entry-level careers in the construction industry. Through hands-on training and project-based learning, students develop essential carpentry and construction skills aligned with current industry demands.

This program emphasizes safety, craftsmanship, and practical application to prepare students for success in residential and commercial construction settings.

 Program Highlights

  • Hands-on training in carpentry and construction fundamentals
  • Framing, drywall installation, roofing, and finishing techniques
  • Use of construction tools, materials, and equipment
  • Workplace safety practices and OSHA standards
  • Blueprint reading and basic construction planning
  • Real-world project experience through applied learning

Hands-On Project Experience

Students will apply their skills by constructing a “tiny home,” incorporating key construction components such as framing, roofing, flooring, doors, windows, and drywall installation.

This project provides valuable real-world experience and helps students build confidence while developing practical, job-ready skills.

Career Preparation & Licensure

Upon successful completion of the Construction Technologies Program, students are eligible to earn industry-recognized credentials that prepare them for employment in the construction trades.

Students will earn:

  • Career Connections Certificates (CITF) – Levels 1, 2 & 3
  • OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety Certification

These credentials demonstrate foundational construction knowledge and workplace safety training valued by employers.

Enrollment Requirements
To enroll, students must:

  • Complete online registration and submit the $100 non-refundable registration fee (applied toward tuition)
  • Be 18 years of age or older
  • Provide an unexpired Driver’s License or State ID
  • Submit proof of high school completion (High School Diploma, official transcript, or HSE/GED transcript)
    • Documents may be emailed to adulted@pentacc.org or mailed to:

  • Complete all required enrollment documents in the student portal
  • Pay tuition in full before classes start

Important Note: This program is not eligible for financial aid. All funding must be secured by the student before enrolling.

  • Students must adhere to all safety, dress code, and attendance policies
  • Students must participate in hands-on training activities
  • Students must complete all required hours and coursework
  • Students must demonstrate professionalism and safe work practices at all times
