Penta Career Center’s Massage Therapy Program prepares students for licensure and professional practice through hands-on training, real-world clinical experience, and comprehensive instruction in therapeutic massage. This evening program is ideal for individuals seeking a flexible pathway into healthcare and wellness while making a direct impact on clients’ physical and mental well-being.

Students gain the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to succeed as Licensed Massage Therapists (LMTs) in spas, wellness centers, medical offices, fitness facilities, or private practice.

Program Schedule
600 Hours
Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday | 4:00–8:00 p.m.
One Clinical Saturday per month | 8:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.

This program offers rolling enrollment, allowing students to begin the Massage Therapy Program at multiple points throughout the year. Choose the cohort that best fits your schedule and career goals.

Enrollment is limited for each cohort. Early registration is strongly encouraged.

Program Highlights

• Therapeutic massage, including client assessment and treatment planning
• Applied anatomy and physiology for massage therapy, including contraindications for practice
• Specialized massage modalities, including prenatal and sports massage and spa modalities
• Ohio laws and regulations governing Massage Therapy, including ethics and standards of practice
• Business practices and career readiness for massage therapists

Hands-On Clinical Experience
Students complete 100 hours of supervised clinical training, gaining valuable real-world experience working with clients before program completion.

Career Preparation & Licensure
Upon successful completion of the Massage Therapy Program, students are eligible to sit for the Massage & Bodywork Licensing Examination (MBLEx). After passing the exam, graduates can apply for licensure through the State Medical Board of Ohio, officially qualifying them to practice as a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT).

Enrollment Requirements
To enroll, students must:

• Complete online registration and submit the $500 non-refundable registration fee. This fee covers your student kit and books and is separate from and not applied toward tuition.
• Be 18 years of age or older
• Provide an unexpired Driver’s License or State ID
• Submit proof of high school completion (High School Diploma, official transcript, or HSE/GED transcript)

• Complete all required enrollment documents in the student portal
• Pass an FBI/BCI background check, which will be submitted to the State Medical Board of Ohio to obtain licensure.
• Notice regarding criminal offenses pursuant to rule 4731-1-15(D) of the Ohio Administrative Code: At or before the time a school, college or institution in this state accepts a student for admission to a massage therapy course of instruction, the school, college or institution shall provide the student with written notice that arrests, charges, or convictions of criminal offenses may be cause to deny or limit licensure or employment opportunities in specific careers and occupations and may limit the student's ability to obtain federal, state, and other financial aid. The notice shall direct students to the explanatory statement and disqualifying offense list on the board's website at www.med.ohio.gov/The-Board/Disqualifying-Criminal-Convictions.

Tuition & Payment Options

• Tuition must be paid in full before state testing
• Payment plans must be selected at the time of registration:
• Monthly Plan: 6 payments of $1,000
• Bi-Monthly Plan: 12 payments of $500

Important Note: This program is not eligible for financial aid. Students must secure all funding before enrolling.

Program Expectations

• Students must provide their own scrubs (plain black top and black pants) to be worn daily for class and lab
• Students must provide their own linens and lubricants for lab practice. More information will be provided at orientation.
• Shoes must be solid black with rubber soles
• Adherence to all safety, dress code, and attendance policies is required
• Students must complete all required hours, coursework, and evaluations.
• Tuition must be paid in full before state testing.
