Marwood's Ghost began as a short film project conceived by three friends studying Literature, Historic Preservation, and Philosophy at Eastern Michigan University.
Set in 1880, it's the comedic story of two elitist brothers named Water and Reginald who visit their cousin Marwood and his Indian servant Bapooh.
Marwood claims to have seen a ghost, so the brothers spend the film attempting to "cure" him of his delusions.
Over a two-year period, from 1993-1995, Marwood's Ghost grew from a short movie idea to a nearly feature length production with a cast and crew of more than two dozen people.
It was photographed in and around Ypsilanti, Michigan over the course of a year and a half, then edited at the Ann Arbor Community Television Network. The completed film was screened at the Michigan Theater in Ann Arbor.
